The department has the ability to fill and re-fill compressed air bottles at the firehouse, thanks to a Mako compressor and manifold system in the firehouse.  Additionally, unit 535 has a mobile, cascade refill system for use at the scene of an emergency.

The department also has a full decontamination suite, including decontamination tent with showers, basic life support (without transport), the ability to draw water from lakes, ponds or other bodies of water, and antidote for exposure to nerve agent VX (currently housed and being demilitarized near Newport, Indiana).
